What's a 'second'?

'Seconds' are products that haven't come out 100% perfectly. They're perfectly fine as pieces of art, but they're just not quite perfect enough to sell at full price. There may be:

a blemish on the paper
a splodge of ink somewhere
a slightly wonky cut or misaligned print
the corner may be slightly bent
the printer ink might have started to run out and caused a couple of lines in the print.

Why's THIS one a 'second'?

This postcard has a slightly bent top-right corner, but the print quality is fine.
