The early days of parenthood are such a weird time. I remember being overwhelmed with love and joy and happiness, but also being so crushingly tired that I felt like my brain had melted. 

These are some reflections parenthood for a poem and painting I created for 'Parenthood' - a group exhibition by members of the Leeds Parents of Small Biz, which is on at Left Bank in Leeds until the start of September.
